The body of the Sterling Pacific travel cases is constructed from reinforced 5000 series aluminum. Substantial hydraulic pressure is used to bend and shape the 0.9mm aluminum sheets to form the body. 5000 series aluminum alloys are used in the aviation industry due to their high strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance and formability. Sterling Pacific uses a customized reinforced alloy for additional endurance that is over 50% more durable than normal 5000 series alloys.

The load-taking corners of the travel case are reinforced with 67% thicker corners pressed from 5052 aluminum
Over a hundred SAE 304 Stainless Steel Rivets are individually riveted to hold together the corners, the body and the extruded 6063 aluminum frame of the case
The case rolls on four 360 degree wheels, built to withstand excessive wear and tear
The trolley handle retracts into a die-cast aluminum housing, one of the most unique features of the case
